Parents and children in dire need of help may finally get the medication they so desperately need thanks to Sen. Dave Marsden who sponsored a bill which recently passed in Virginia making it legal to produce and distribute medicinal CBD oil within the state. The new law will also give parents the capability to legally obtain medicinal CBD oil for their children with the purpose of treating epilepsy. Those familiar with CBD oils know that it has been shown to greatly reduce to in some cases cure epilepsy in children and young adults.
This new law requires the State board of Pharmacy to set forth new regulations regarding CBD oil and its safe, secure distribution throughout the state. Unfortunately those regulations are slated to be brought to the board sometime in 2017 which may delay some patients from obtaining the medicinal oils in a timely legal fashion.
