The federal government recently passed a bill now known as Carly’s Law (named after the girl who lost her life fighting for cbd oil) that allows for some regulated research studies into the medicinal effects of CBD oil extracts on patients suffering from various epilepsy disorders. Families there for the hearing are ecstatic that they may now have a fighting chance, however many of them still have a long struggle ahead of them.
While this study has been approved it is still illegal under federal law to use marijuana in any from including medical. The studies will no doubt take time as well and we will likely see many more casualties while we wait for the study to hopefully pave the way for legalization on a national level. The cbd oil extracts have already been proven in many states that have pushed forward without further study.
