If your state suddenly legalized recreational marijuana would you bother seeing a Doctor for a medicinal marijuana prescription?
That is the question many have been asking as patents of medical marijuana drop and recreactional users blow sky high in many cities that have legalized both recreational and medicinal.

Many claim that the vast majority of medicinal patients were simply lying to get their hands on legal weed and believe that the medicinal decline is due to the fact that these fakers can now simply buy whatever they want in a local dispenary.

However, I believe it is still valid to say that if you give people the option to bypass a medical professional and still get the same thing you need over the counter why would you waste your time going to a Doctor for that condition?

It seems clear that many have no interest in getting a prescription when the same thing can be obtained over the counter, it’s no different than any other drug. If I can buy it at a rite-aid why would I waste my time and hard earned money going to a Doctor just to get the same result at a higher cost?
