Wyoming does not have a legal medical or adult-use cannabis program. The state has brought forth several legalization initiatives since 2015, but all have failed. In the 2022 legislative session, there were two cannabis bills introduced: one would decriminalize possession of up to three ounces of cannabis and the other would create a medical cannabis program, however, these are not expected to see movement until 2023 at the earliest.
Though the laws in Wyoming are slow to change, state residents are not immune from the wave of legalization sweeping the country. A 2020 poll found that 54% of Wyoming residents support a legal adult-use program, up nearly 20% from a similar 2014 poll.
