Since starting treatment in 2020, her seizures have drastically reduced—from dozens daily to just a few mild ones—though the family spends £750 a month on privately sourced cannabis oil.

After lobbying through their MP, Anna Sabine, Emily recently met government minister Zubir Ahmed, who expressed concern over the family’s long wait for NHS access. The Department of Health maintains that cannabis-based medicines require full approval from regulators before NHS funding becomes routine.

Despite spending more than £60,000 so far, Clover’s parents say they’ll continue treatment “for as long as she needs it.”
